Monaco flags are flown at half-mast

Italy’s Prime Minister, Giuseppe Conte, announced the introduction of a state of emergency for 12 months centred around the Genoa area. the Minister of Transport, Danilo Toninelli feels this is not an event expected in a developed country.

As a mark of solidarity with Italy, where a national day of mourning is planned on 18 August in memory of the victims of the bridge collapse in Genoa, a decision has been made to fly flags at half-mast this Saturday in Monaco. A criminal investigation for unintentional injuries and involuntary homicide has been commenced.
